Cast, reel, strike
The three moves you fish with on the site, on a small example pond. One button does all three.
Press Cast. On the site you cast where you look, and the direction picks your depth.
- Cast. You turn the scene and cast where you're looking.
- Reel. Every press is one crank. Your rhythm becomes your tempo, and tempo moves the bite.
- Strike! When a fish takes, pull the rod up within a moment. Then reel it home.
How to read a lake
Every lake's page explains its water in plain sentences. These are about Bolmen.
- Bolmen stratifies in summer, around 5 m down. Below that the water turns cold and poor in oxygen, so the fish gather above it.
- The water is clear, to 3.4 m. In clear water fish see prey a long way off, but drop deeper in the middle of the day.
- Most fish held in less than 3 m of water.
- 1,951 buildings sit within 150 m of the shore. Expect boat traffic and jetties.
