Privacy policy forTemperaturer.se

Last updated: 2026-07-01

Temperaturer.se is an Android app created by JohnTibell.com. It shows water, air, bathing, sea and road temperatures across Sweden, from the website temperaturer.se.

WE DO NOT TRACK YOU, SHOW ADS, OR REQUIRE AN ACCOUNT, AND WE DO NOT STORE OR SHARE ANY PERSONAL DATA.

Location

To show you temperatures near you, the app can use your device's location. This is optional — you choose whether to grant the location permission, and you can change your location manually inside the app or simply let it default to Stockholm.

When you use your location, your coordinates are sent to the app's own service (temperaturer.se) for the single purpose of looking up the nearest bathing spots, lakes, coast, road stations and localities. Your location is not stored on our servers, not linked to any identity, and never shared with third parties. It is used only to answer that one request and then discarded.

If you choose a place manually, that choice is stored only on your device so the app can remember it between launches. Removing the app deletes it.

Data the app shows

Temperature data comes from public sources such as SMHI, the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (HaV) and the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). The app is a read-only viewer of that public data.

No tracking

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no user account. If you remove the app, any settings stored on your device are removed with it.
